Do you guys know what is the difference between the Unisound version released in 1994 and the one released in 2002?

Also, could someone post the matrix code of the 1994 version?

thank you.

Nikslived: thank you for the info.

I do have the GZ one too and booklet looks old but still, I guess this is a 2002 verson.

Black and white cover (the one identical to the Abruptum 7" cover) is semi-official. Meaning it was still released by the shithead who used to own unisound records BUT I am sure the bands were never notified about that and the whole quality product is really cheap like ALL his bootlegs or unisound re-releases like that in the time he was giving them as freebies on his shitty forest mag.

are you guys 100% sure the "third press" with the GZ matrix code was made after 2000? I have this copy, bought second hand from an old collector, I have doubts it is recent, since he also sold me a Varathron cd on Cyber and some other old stuff. The only thing I knew for sure was that there was a second press with black cover, but a third press, I have never known about it.

I just checked my Passage to Arcturo on Decapitated, very first press.
On the back I can read:

Decapitated Records, P.O. box 66084, 15510, Greece tel/fax (01)65.49.237

matrix code gz e61620 dec 003

The second press of this Ep, which I own on cd format as well, states on the back:

Unisound Records 84 Acadimias ave. 10678 Athens, Greece tel; ++33.02.748 fax ++38.43.244

matrix code fabelsound 95 [01] unisound 003

I now strongly think that the Varathron/necromantia split with the GZ matrix code is the very first press

Yes matrix codes from old Unisound cd's started with FABEL I think... at least that is the case with my Non Serviam and Uncanny cd's.

That's strange that the Passage to Arcturo cd on Decapitated has the matrix code which starts with GZ, same as my NEcromantia/varathron cd, with the same address and tel on the back. According to what I just found out, the NEcromantia/Varathron cd with matrix code that starts with GZ was made in early 90's. Here just Unisound can clarify this matter.

Also, the matrix code MVR on Unisound records and publications cd's is very suspecious, as I said in my other topic, which for some reason or no reason got erased. It's a new press, nobody knows if the band allowed it, the quality is less than low as I saw on these Varathron and Elysian Fields cd's, that's a matter of fact that can interest some people I think. Still no news regarding the GZ matrix code.

I had bought the CD from their shop in 1994 on the very first day they had put it for sale there. Obviously mine is very first press and has the GZ F50919 USR 010 matrix code. All the rest are for sure semi-official represses and for sure the first one is the Black/White Version. That other coloured cover version is from the third bunch which came out 3-4 years ago. Black/White Version initially came as a freebie with Forest Mag but afterwards it was also sold separately on the record stores.
