If Chris of Hatewar Productions shows up to the show, I'm sure he'll film it as he films a lot of shows in California. So we'll see if that happens...

I do have the proper equipment for recording, but it wouldn't be through the soundboard or anything... it would be decent though. Alas, my "home studio" isn't very portable...

on a different note, its cool to see metal taking place at the que sera. when i lived down there it was pretty much just a hipster dance club venue. i wonder if they know what to expect from ashdautas. they may regret their decision to allow this show.

also, ashdautas is an exceptionally good live band. i didnt fully respect their recordings until i had seen them live.

People need to start bringing portable cassette decks to these shows. I'd fucking kill for a live tape of this. (hint hint)

But as I was saying...I'd be willing to trade for this.

youve lowered your offer it seems. i prefer the killing option.

Come to Greece ! We don't have age limitations and until recently didn't
have limitations on selling alcohol to kids. Cool

Volahn is great ! I should check Ashdautas depending on the good comments I'm reading about them.

No idea... luckily, in CA I haven't had to ever deal with 21+ except this gig. Maybe they know a lot of people show up in CA and don't want losses? I've no idea.

Underage alcohol consumption. I think it's better too so there will be less stupid high school scene kids talking pictures of themselves with their friends while a band is playing so they can post it on myspace.

It is definitely the fact that the venue sells alcohol that a lot of shows are sometimes 21+. It's rather dumb though, I don't care if it's 21+ or not since I would be able to go anyway, but why aren't all "alcohol-selling" places 21+...

I guess it just depends on the owner of the place. Usually small, lesser known places/venues don't want to deal with having underage drinkers.

Anyway, good thing there won't be any black-metal scene kids here.

I think the venues with alcohol generally have to pay to get a special license so that it can be all ages, but I'm not sure.

I'll be going for this.

So what kind is this area where the venue is? I have never been in Long Beach before, except Midnight show last May. But I think this is in different part of city?

Just curious because have heard so much shit of area where Black Castle is. Which is not so bad at all IMO Wink

I read some reviews on the place, a few have mentioned the area isn't all that great... so to lock up your car (but that's common sense regardless). I'm not sure how it compares to the Black Castle area but I'm sure it's not that different.
