I see vinyl are a Hi-Fi format, LP's are for full length studio recordings. Demos are better for tape or CD. I say CD only because it's a good format for archival purposes, which to me, is the real reasons most demos should be re-released. Some demos are incredible and even better than the full length material some bands would go on to do, but it seems many people forget what the purpose of a demo is. They were made to show people What the band could give an idea as to what they could accomplish on vinyl, not release as is.

See above for my reasons.

I can't think of many demos I own on vinyl. But I do own a few, such as Blasphemy's Blood Upon the Altar from NWN! But that's a rare exception. The Hellhammer demos are another rare exception. I would like to get the DLP, but I'm just as content with the CD.

Certainly don't hate vinyl, but I obviously don't mindless and totally associate it with Metal, like so many conformists that are afraid to have a mind of their own do. I happen to think CD is the true format of Metal today, being the skip feature comes in handy for the absurd amount of crummy new releases being pumped out. That lack of good stuff is most likely the reason people line up to buy pizza boxes full of demos and other "cult" nostalgia on vinyl today.

They have arrived few minutes ago, we prepare everything asap and I think the first packages will leave us on Thursday/Wednesday at the latest. We have a lot to work right now, you can imagine. Watch out for the pictures etc. soon, as I will post them later this day...

I tried it and never got a reply though. I had hopes of doing a massive, multiple page retrospective interview and history thing for EM #1, but I knew that was nothing but a fantasy. Still, I tried.

I tried to hunt down František Štorm too, who if you don't know, is a reknown font designer now.

Here is a 2007 interview
http://www.planet-typography.com/news/designer/storm.html

Fonts by him:

There is a ton of info on him out there, but no contact address. I don't go too out of my way to find it, because I doubt he'd grant an interview these days.

I was thinking of still paying tribute to them by putting the Jilemnice Occultist story outline in the zine, but this is pretty widely available? I figure even if it is, somebody would appreciate being able to read it on the toilet.

I think F.Storm is not interested in re-releasing any of the old material, especially the demo tapes.

Such a box would be great but let's face it, Franta no doubt already got some nice offers to do this but choose not to, so it's probable he won't give permission in the future either.

I don't think Franta is involved in such matters. Technically, these demos have already been reissued by the band, but in MP3 format. That big download site that they are on, is owned by former members.
