A Journey Into Horizon's Lost demo is their best. This second version released by some Bulgarian label is way better than the first with the Burzumesque vocals.

Anyone around that has been plunging into M. W. Ford's writings at some point??

I recently dowloaded a couple of them as ebooks, but didn't have the time for in-depht reading yet.

Yeah, I liked the first DE. Was cool. He once sent me a tape of some other band he started called Totentanz which was some werid techno-ish stuff. actually wasn't bad, had an odd atmosphere.

The guy has changed a lot too though, which maybe makes me less interested in his newer material (despite it being shite). His Occultism just comes off as somekind of new-ageism. The likes of him and Nastrond were amongst the first "nsbm" kind of bands. I remember he was once asked in an interview about the holocaust. His answer: "Gas Chamber Orgasm". Nothing he likes to be reminded of I'm sure Laughing

If you like Darkness Enshroud, I recommend you Profane Grace (early stuff). That was that guy from Demoncy, but I guess you are already familiar with it... Wink

I wouldn't be surprised. I just looked at my copies:

-The Drakkar Version of Vampyr credits all music written by Black Funeral
-Empire Of Blood credits all music written by Michael Ford.

at work so can't check, but just remembered the name, I think it was Dean Tavernier who wrote the music for Vampyr. he at least played guitar on the record

Characith is one of the tunnels of Set which is presented in Crowley's book 231. Later on, Kenneth Grant wrote a book about the subject(Nightside of Eden) but you are actually wrong, Falorio just made the Tarot deck for the qliphotic tree together with a very interesting book that sheds some new light on Grant's writings(The Shadow Tarot). Both are essential readings.

On the other hand, Ford's books are fucking crap full of gibberish.

the songs on the re-release of Vampyr are terrible; I wouldn't waste your time.

I might have a demo shirt of Black Funeral with red logo on front and some vamypic rites on the back in white. Mint quality and never worn. Got it straight from him and 100% made by band.
Check my trade list in the trade section or offer a price. Trades preffered.

Ok, thanks for that info. They seemed somewhat like an attempt to catch up with this current "form-your-own-church/religion-and-provide-seemingly-serious-bullshit writings-to-pretend-you're-the-one-to-follow" trend.
