Waters Of Weeping was decent. I haven't heard the others.

Never got around to owning this release, must have heard samples once or downloaded years back to check out during a black metal binge, but don't recall. Might have to look into this album.

Moon of Characith is a concept from Linda falorio about an alternative view of the tree of death .

The album SUCKS , try recording yourself puking while listening something good like Sarcofago and will sound better .

Belial Rising was ok, nowhere near as cool as the demo or the debut. Searching like crazy for the orignal shirt from this, with the logo on the front. I have the limited version released by Dungeons of Darkness/Cymophane (along with the rare Thou Shalt Suffer grey one).

someone needs to do this Vampyr with a reprint of that shirt!

A friend of mine is really into all his releases.... I can't get into anything after Vampyr......... it all just seems like derevitive Norse-Core, 17 years too late.

I have all their releases, well except the last one, and yes vampyr is the best album, but i like empire of blood and moon of... is a great dark ambient release. Also Sorath EP is great too.

Indeed it does. I was sorely disappointed. The previous album, Empire of Blood, has a few re-worked and re-named Vampyr songs, if I'm not mistaken. It also had a new version of the song, Journey Into Horizons Lost. That last track is a masterpiece. I consider it the last good thing he recorded aside from Belial Arisen.

Az-i-Dahak was ridiculous, as was Ordog.

exactly my reasoning; D. not only played but composed all of the music for that disc. I love how the two classic Black Funeral albums (Vampyr and Empire) feature the exact same music with different lyrics/recordings, giving me even more reason to believe based on the bands later albums and in comparison to Waters Of Weeping, that Michael Ford can't write viable music himself beyond the 10 or so tracks that are featured on the original albums.

I don't have my cd infront of me at the minute, but I think someone else was credited with the music on Vampyr?

I wouldn't be surprised. I just looked at my copies:

-The Drakkar Version of Vampyr credits all music written by Black Funeral
-Empire Of Blood credits all music written by Michael Ford.
