Ha, I was referring to the second post I made. I edited over it because I can't be bothered with long winded rants on why people shouldn't take what groups and people exterior to themselves think of things. People should be sensible enough to know for themselves.

Might this herald a coming of better underground bands and a better underground in general? Metal was popular in the 80's. It may not have been real metal, but as a working term, it was popular. On the other hand, if Jack Black keeps putting out stuff like this, and he coins the term "true metal", it ain't gonna be pretty. But, on yet another hand, this should only inspire the underground to work even harder.

I thought the game looked cool. Yes its cartoony but that's the way it's meant to be. Was generally surprised about the extreme metal bands that are on the soundtrack, thought it'll just be standard heavy metal. I hate the fact that Jack Black is in it but meh, I've heard general good things about plot and gameplay.

The presence of Osmose bands on this soundtrack rasies a more delicate question ; In what way are Martin Bandier and Hervé Herbau connected?

I can only speak for Ostrogoth but they did not have anything to do with this game nor did they receive any money for it. Maybe their old label Mausoleum did, I don't know.
Band doesn't care though, they like the promotion.

Its nothing to worry about. I doubt we'll be seeing Blasphemy and Sarcofago on Mtv anytime soon.

Actually, they did show a Blasphemy live video on MuchMusic when LOUD was around years ago...

this type of marketing is Bandier's trade-mark nowdays. ...it COULD be bad news concerning certaint labels integrity.

Wagner got interviewed on headbangers ball when they were on their "thrash" phase. But then again, that was the time headbangers ball was featuring good metal (and shitload of LA glam bands)

LOUD is still on saturday nights at 1130PM (mtn time)

unfortunately 75% of it is numetaldeathcore stuff. they played a goatwhore vid last night which was kind of cool... and voivod pops up semi regularly due to cancon laws.. tribal convictions is such an awesome vid/song.
