I am heading for the capital of England in september.
So I'm wondering if there's any record stores worth to pay a visit?
Thanks.

When I visited London a few years ago, i was also trying to find some metal stores in the Soho area. I had a couple of addresses but unfortunately the stores had moved to another area. I just found one where the owner was actually an arab, who had some stuff for sale but didn't know shit about metal.
I gave up, finally...
I saw some punk stores, though

There isn't really anything for metal, stupid really. There's a pretty good Punk shop in Camden, stocks everything from Anarchist Punk to Stenchcore stuff.

Here's a list of shows that's happening in London that I know about in September if you're interested:

Yeah, London was really disappointing (metal wise) when I visited in April... but I agree, All Ages, that punk shop in Camden, is actually really cool. I got a great Cocksparrer football scarf there. Laughing

Oh and don't go to the Tower of London, it's a tourist trap ripoff! Long lines and too much $$$$$$$$$....

Great!
I will try to attend to the Altar of Plagues show and the Mate-Fest.
I'm arriving to London the 24th and will be leaving the 28th, so those shows will work in my schedule hopefully.
Will you attend to any of the shows?

Camden Town had a place called Armageddon Shop if I remember correctly. Not a bad selection of Metal.

I live a 30 minute train ride from the centre of London but never bother going as I've had more luck finding records in my local second hand and charity/thrift shops, although in November (can't remember when) there's a huge record fair which was pretty cool last year as I got an almost mint copy of Bolt Thrower Realm of Chaos with the booklet for 10.

Fuck record shopping in London go to the zoo instead you can walk there from Camden tube station

If you're looking for rare thrash or death records, forget it. If you're looking for rare 70s records and the like, then you're in the best place - go to the music exchange in Notting Hill. There's another one in Camden that has a little more metal but the Notting Hill one is best (friend of mien works there occasionally, he likes to be punched in the face)
