Damn right, I love this album. One of the best death metal records to come out in the decade.

I think it's quite better than that split, to be honest.

I think the songwriting is better but sonically it's not the same suffocating, immersive experience. Still an excellent band.

Right, it's more vicious and has considerable more bite to it, which I think is the better choice for their kind of music.

Could be - it's hard for me to judge it objectively, to be honest. That split and their 7" both made me feel like I was falling down into a well of darkness, or something similarly overwrought. Both of those were less about what the band was playing than about how it made me feel, which was kind of distressed and uncomfortable. The new album is just cut from different cloth. Not what I was expecting, from their previous recordings, but still badass!

CMDistro carries it. The end has it, but it's been out of stock there for a while.

Well after, what... 7~8 years since their last full length album (kinda hard to believe actually, doesn't feel like that long Shocked ) ...you gotta expect some small change.. just glad it wasn't for the worse! This album DOES sound slightly more refined but it feels right for the music this time around.

The new Funebrarum album is good I will have to buy the first full-length album along with the split with Interment.

This album is solid. Definitively on the "best of 2009" list for me.

I am a bit disappointed.
Sounds a bit too modern/professional.
Too many fast parts.
Sound is not raspy/"morbid"/dark whatever enough.

have to listen to it a fourth/5th time to finally judge it.
hmmm...
