Anybody like the first couple Cheap Trick records? I think they're pretty great bubblegum rock, with a tinge of glam and metal. Such a pity how that band went down the toilet for the sake of a couple big radio hits later on.

I don't know about their first few albums, but I have a 2CD set of both Budokan shows, which are actually pretty good.

Yeah, that is a great concert album - I usually don't like live stuff either but that one is really good. Give their first two or three albums a listen some time.

I just don't think that the word Metal should be next to Glam/Hair, i don't consider any of those bands to be Metal at all, i always hated Aerosmith, KISS and Van Halen, the closest i got to own Glam stuff back then was the first two Twisted Sister albums and the first Motley Crue, which i think are great albums.
In my 30+ years of listening Metal i've seen posers of all kinds , and believe me, not all of them wear spandex and makeup; in my opinion, listening only to cult music, owning cult records, having long hair or playing in a band, doesn't automatically make you True...

Twisted Sister

I think only thier most know songs (like We Are not Gonna take it) are shitty, but some of them are really nice heavy metal. They have good idea: make some commercial songs to promote this in school and next turn pop-rock kids into metalfans.

I LOOOOOOOOVE old Cheap Trick. Everything before Tom Peterson quit is damn good, especially "In Color" and "Heaven Tonight" and of course "Budokan."
