|
|
Got a copy of Morbid Tales on Picture Disc at my store today from a local guy. It's a Noise Records pressing with the original 6 song track list (first 2 songs on the A side, 4 on the B side). Anybody have an idea of the value on this one? |

According to Popsike, it went for $104 in 2006 and $345 in 2008. Prices vary between those two figures between those years. |

That guy must have been a complete idiot to sell that Pic Disc for only $5! Maybe he's never heard of ebay? |

such an idiot doesn't really deserve the 5 bucks he got. I would have given him $2 and a free slice of bread WITHOUT butter or cheese... |

No idea probably. I sold some shit about ten years ago for very little - no clue about the value, just stuff I didn't listen to anymore... |

Could be true. One of the older guys in my local town has a lot of metal records from his days in the 80's. I picked up stuff like Hirax, Venom, Mercyful Fate, Celtic Frost...essential stuff like Priest, Maiden, Motorhead...and some other random 80's metal records for $5 each. He just doesn't have use for them anymore, so he offers it to us younger generation who more than gladly want to possess these albums.
I figure it all depends really, for some people records value isn't very high, especially if it goes unplayed for a while. I mean ebay is always the best with records since you can potentially get more than you would expect. $5 still seems low though for any picture disc. Rarity or not, it'd be logical to sell it for $15-20 which is still considerably cheap for it. |

I've bought very rare records for a very low price eventhough the guys knew they could get a lot more for it. Some people just don't care and rather sell to you when they hear you are passionate about metal instead of some record dealer who only knows the rare expensive records. |
