I came across this, I bought it because I had never seen such a cover, and once again the fetishist in me prevailed.
It looks like a Brazilian bootleg (well, smells like one, too), anyone know when this was pressed? Also it sounds as if recorded from a broken cassette tape, the sound (especially on side B) is characteristic of old cassettes:

If you scroll down the page from the link, there's similar LP pictured. Not much info though:

"Enigma Records from Brazil released the 1983 “Show No Mercy” vinyl in a very poor production but in nowadays is very hard to find. The vinyl don’t have label sticker, no lyrics or pictures it’s like a bootleg edition."

ha ha

If it's really official, that is one horrible job of presentation for a record label.

Some other Slayer sites mention that one being a bootleg.

No doubt, it's like the bootleggers decided to do drugs before laying out this LP.

Yeah, this is definitely a bootleg, and a splendid one too I dare say. You guys don't grasp the magic (=kvltness) of such artwork. It's so ugly it's actually great. Wink

Looks pretty brutal alright.
Is it just me, or are the colours of the labels & flames different? One more version to collect.Wink

as bad as some of the polish "license" tape with comic font titles/bandname slapped randomly across/above/under the actual coverart
is this LP really from 1983?

I love the bootleg releases.

I used to collect Shark records releases for this reason... still have the Sepultura/Onslaught (I think) CD somewhere.
