West Wall plays killer Bolt Thrower style epic death metal:

You can order the new album direct from the band via their myspace. Blitzkrieg Symphony #1 was by far the best album in this style in years, as far as I'm concerned, so give these guys some support!

edit: note that their banner ad is wrong: the album is $10 plus shipping, not $18!

I logged onto Myspace a few hours ago and saw a bulletin by them proclaiming the new album was for sale, immediately ordered it! The 3 song sampler I got last month has me really psyched to hear the entire album. Their songs get stuck in your head for days, there was a point where I couldn't stop humming the song 'Man with the Iron Fist' from their debut when I was at work. I think my coworkers wanted to kill me after about a week of that.

Fantastic news! I'll be ordering as soon as I get my paycheck.
With this band I don't need to listen before buying for sure! Very Happy

They are extremely catchy, that's for sure... and if the other tracks on the album live up to what I've heard on their myspace, I think this album may well surpass "Blitzkrieg Symphony #1" in that regard! "Tunnel Rat" and "Shield Wall" have been stuck in my head for weeks now.

This is pretty average. Can't really find anything in their music that makes me want to come back to it and listen again. Funny thing, it's the same case with Bolt Thrower who I've always though were immensely overrated.

Neither band warrant an "epic death metal" tag.

There's no accounting for taste, I guess. I like this style a hell of a lot; I'll certainly take it over 90% of everything else that's out there these days.

Thanks for bumping the thread, too. "No publicity is bad publicity", as they say! Smile

I got the album today! It's catchy as hell, as expected, with a crushingly heavy production compared to the last one. The songs are just a bit longer than on "Blitzkrieg...", and the song structures a bit more complex (especially "1683" and "Furore Teutonicus"). I like the varied lyrical approach, as well. Good stuff!

I'll have some copies of this for distribution in a couple weeks.

I hope my copy will show up in a day or two, ordered it last Friday. I look forward to hearing it!

Might order it in the next week or so. One question - the Morbid Tales zine pack, is the price for overseas surface mail?

That price is for the US or Canada/Mexico only -- there is no such thing as overseas surface mail from the US anymore, unfortunately, so I'd have to send the zines airmail.

If you want to get the zine pack, please get in touch with your country and I can figure out how much it'll be. The shipping will be a lot, but the zines won't be, so it should come out to something reasonable.
