Currently recovering from a massive bangover from the Amebix/Morne show in Montreal. I have been looking forward for that show for months! Morne was a bit slower and darker than on their records... they played lots of songs from their demo, and actually put me in a trance. It was fucked up! I didn't manage to take photos of them, unfortunately.

Amebix was just unreal, even better than on their records. The Baron really has an insane stage presence... a bit like Lemmy. They played for more than an hour, and almost didn't take breaks in between the songs. It was one, long audio orgasm.
Setlist:
Winter
Power Remains
Progress
Axeman
Largactyl
Darkest Hour
Control
Chain Reaction
I.C.B.M.
Drink and be Merry
Nobody's Driving
Coming Home
Arise!
The Baron
Roy
Pete, the roadie
Stig
The Baron
The Baron
Roy
A terrible photo... haha! Souvenir shot with members of the opening bands, Morne and Amebix. _________________ The Goat of fire in me ablaze

What's the significance of the symbol on his bass? It resembles other things that are in no way crustcore, so I doubt that's it. Is it religious? _________________ DEATH METAL UNDERGROUND |

I caught them at Chaos in Tejas and they were absolutely crushing. I still have a bruise on my gut from being crushed into the stage by about 40 crusty girls completely flipping out. WHat a truly harrowing experience. That is Roy Mayorga on drums. Incredible drummer. |

Most likely cultural. The Baron lives on the Isle of Skye where a large portion of people still speak Gaelic. Since he's a swordsmith, I assume he's into the cultural history of the celtic peoples. _________________ Helcaraxë - Death Metal

My envy has no boundaries... must've been an amazing show. Great photos too. I only wish I'll catch Amebix live some day. _________________ Alone Wankyng |

Saw them the night before here in Toronto in a pretty small venue which was packed tight. They were simply incredible.... sounded great. Loud, crushing and extremely tight.
I've always been a huge fan of this band musically and aesthetically and seeing them live was a truly intense experience. So amazing. |

rob's swords will be in the dennis dread show. the opening is 2 weeks away. not sure if he will be there, but most of us [the artists] will be camped out at the dread compound. on another note, mourne is great. jeff hayward is the man. buy that guy lots of beers when you see them. |

AMAZING show.. They had pretty much the same set list, so much fucking energy. The crowd was going nuts! _________________ Trade / Sale List: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7938 |
