Their early stuff is good but it does get old on me quite quickly. I have to say though, that here's a band that has developed, has come into it's own and are actually good for what they do - and I'm saying this as someone who's not into their newer stuff.

I think zos zia cultus is a great album, but the apostasy is heading into the stormy cradle of filth waters.

However, the old stuff is great. I have the vinyl-boxset (not sure if the band considers this a bootleg also) and it basically includes everything needed. Demonica is also a good release to get if you really enjoy this band as there's unreleased material and then the demos (not all) and the cd-version is really great quality A5 book with interesting notes and pictures.
If you mean Historica I believe they consider that a bootleg too.

Lou is going crazy. Newer Behemoth is over produced commercial doo doo. It's mechanical music without any soul or intent.

haha, perhaps! maybe ive just been a fan for too long to be critical. i do factor other considerations outside the actual CD. their live show is killer. and talking with the guys after a show, their personality and attitude, i dont know , just something i identify with...that makes them stand out.

I am listening now to their new album "Evangelion" and I must admit that it's their best material since Satanica. Ofcourse, it's not original and Nergal multilayered vocals still suck but the music is better this time. Less plastic more influences from bands like Deathspell Omega and other religious shit.

100% Agreed. I met Nergal after the band played here and I just thought he was a funny motherfucker. Not to mention the fact that the band absolutely crushed their set for a crowd of what, 20 people? I really can't say anything bad about the band beyond their outfits, which I can't imagine anybody really liking...

I 've been listening to Behemoth from Zos Kia Cultus,so the newer
material is more keen to me.
I adore Satanica and Thelema 6 and I find that Zos Kia Cultus is great too.
The later efforts don't impress me much although they are some quite good
songs in Demigod and in The Apostasy.
I haven't listened their new album yet but I will in the next few days.

I will have to give the new album a listen then hopefully it is better than the last one.

I listened twice to the new record.
I also noticed some new influences in their music.
Time will tell.

Definitly everything up to Grom is great. Grom is a decent album too. A bit boring at times, but still a very good album. Anyone remember when Rob Darken played keys?

Rob Darken (Graveland) contributed keyboards on this demo.

I like Behemoth. Also, Inferno may very well be the best drummer in metal right now.
