New Behemoth is just a polished (polished?) nu-deth money train. Personally, I hated the extremely processed and layered vocals. And yes, the costumes kinda look dumb. Sorry, but I take music seriously and they take it too seriously.

Behemoth fucking rule. Total top notch evil death metal with class and seriousness. I realize its just a matter of (or lack of) taste, but reading the negative comments about them makes me feel like im from another planet or something... i mean how can you not like them?

It's easy for people to dis them when all they are used to is static and fuzzzzz coming out of the speakers. AS for the chick he's dating - oh what a crime to be banging a hot female. Rolling Eyes

Whatever is said, I enjoy newer Behemoth more than the Black Metal stuff. There is a real talent to making music the way they do these days.

Yep, call me a faggot. Cool

I hate technical death-metal, so the newer albums does nothing for me. I'm sure I would like those if they'd play slower material and "real songs" with steady drumming etc. and not bursting so much. The drummer is great, but I don't care the style they make songs these days.

However, the old stuff is great. I have the vinyl-boxset (not sure if the band considers this a bootleg also) and it basically includes everything needed. Demonica is also a good release to get if you really enjoy this band as there's unreleased material and then the demos (not all) and the cd-version is really great quality A5 book with interesting notes and pictures.

I saw ATFDE in record shop, but I bought Agent Steel Skeptics Apocalypse instead...

I don't like their new output very much, because it's kinda boring death metal to me, and their older works are too similar to norwegian black metal.

I only like some songs... At the left hand ov God is pretty great, and maybe pure evil and hate, or that one with the wolves and coffin

I must say I like Satanica and Thelema.6 (despite its overtly plastic production), but when they started to rip off Nile big time it all went downhill.

Seeing them in those embarrassing latex skirts and doing shitty covers of otherwise great songs like I Got Erection didn't quite help either. And all you could hear was that triggered double-kickdrum wave/lightweight blastbeat over EVERYTHING.

I only have Sventevith now. I'm beginning to doubt if I really have need for even that, except for its somewhat "nostalgic" value.

A wise move indeed.

You cannot take seriously band which starts with "viking" image, then became "Slavs/pagans" and after that became "satanist"... and now they are Nietzchean or I don't know exactly what. Nergal's ideology changes so often, that's why I cannot think of them as serious band. Music and image go together, at least for me.

I doubt it. Wasn't it some outsider guy who wrote the Crowleyan lyrics on Satanica and Thelema.6?

I used to like Behemoth, but I fucking hate their over produced albums and the direction they have taken.

Yeah, that is a bad joke. Unfortunately, since the band started with decent music.

The only thing I could get into by this band is the song "PURE EVIL AND HATE" only because it's 100% BATHORY S/T worship.
