This LP was released feb 1991 in LP, CD and MC. LP has 10 tracks, cd/mc has 11 tracks. The picture disc was released Jan. 1992, but has 1991 printed on it.

The 11 track LP you have could be a US/Canadian license, . But if so, there would normally be another label mentioned on the backside of the jacket. So I'm not sure about this.

There are two later editions of the picture disc, on Collector's Picture Disc, and Back On Black.

which version the rarest???
do you think the Matrix #'s will tell the true tale???

Matrix side A: HEY METALLION MPO VILE 22 A 1
Matrix side B: ... LIKE THE PIPE ?! MPO VILE 22 B 1

The "1" after VILE etc is very small and like this A '

The Matrix on my "2nd press" (as stated on the initial post) is exactly like the other 2 versions of peaceville. There is NO other label mentioned on the backcover, just Peaceville, with the only difference that it says jacket printed in canada, on both the jacket and the inner sleeve. The backside has tracklist of 10 tracks (with last song " The Watchtower") and really does have only these songs, but on the LP labels it lists also track "Eon" as last track.

But does it actualy have Eon on the LP? My version only have 10 tracks, no Eon...

Forgot to write this....NO Eon on this version either
EDIT: so maybe this is the first press, and the Peaceville recognised their mistake that the song was left out ? No clue to be honest....

I didn't make myself clear- I have the same version as Mr. Peter Ott.

Here are the pics for you all to see what I mean.
Can anyone help me find info on this release/version?
Is there any old (pre-1995) VINYL version of this album that REALLY contains the "Eon" track?
Maybe some brasilian press?

Yeah I have a Brazilian pressing of "Lost Paradise" which has a bonus track, but that is also stated on the front cover...

I don't think no one else here has never seen this pressing...so please, I am kindly asking from anyone that might knows or has this pressing to provide us some more information on this virtually stated as a "Canadian Press" (at least a date of purchase, place, or whatever might be useful). It is not mentioned anywhere over the web.
It's really a mystery for the moment...... Question .

"Jacket made in Canada" usually indicates a US pressing, not a canadian one. A lot of US pressed lp's I have have that statement on the cover. That particular Darkthrone LP is probably the 1st US pressing.

No european death metal vinyls - be it on Earache, Roadrunner or Peaceville - had US pressings since 1989 . There's no US Altars Of Madness - though there logically should be one, no Carcasses, Entombeds, Immolations, Darkthrones, My Dying Brides - nothing. Only Brazillian "licensed" pirates. Only americal DM vinyls on these labels came out in 2000's with the reissue tide.

So it's very dubious that this Soulside Journey be a US pressing. Please take a picture of entire backside...

Ah the point of my comment was that if Peaceville licensed PL to Brazil, perhaps they also licensed Darkthrone.
