Wow, great news. Ordered one also, can't wait. Perfect death metal.

Anybody else got this yet? My initial impressions are unfortunately a bit mixed. Packaging is very good - there's a thick booklet with pics and lots of notes, which is perfect for this kind of release.

"Denial" itself sounds like the original CD, and it's mercifully not compressed all to hell either. The demos sound OK but not as good as I was hoping; they don't seem to be particularly remastered in any way. The really bad part is that "Wrath from the Unknown" - the whole demo, not just the title track - is weirdly pushed over to the left channel. It just sounds off-center. I have an mp3 tape rip that is centered and sounds better... kind of disappointing. The other three demos don't have this problem, at least, and sound pretty decent.

Hmm...I might have to hang onto my tape of "Wrath" then. It's my favorite Crematory recording by far.

After a close comparison I can say that the original Wrath From the Unknown tape sounds MUCH better than this CD. Much heavier low end in particular.
I wonder what the source was for the CD tracks...

Got the CD today and I must admit that I agree with the dudes above. The sound of the demos is much worse than this on the tapes I have. CD booklet however is cool.

Looking on your new signature, I can imagine what Roy is doing with the people that returned the CD for this reason.

This sounds like complete and utter shit. What were these, mp3s of 4th generation tape dubs?

The layout and overall package is nice, but holy fuck does it sound horrible.

What happened to standards?
