THRONES too!

Thrones are a definite exception. Partly because Joe isn't trying to pass them off as a real set, so he goes outside the box and does all sorts of weird shit.

Drum machines + blastbeats = shit-eating failure. No matter what.

yeah drum machine is a huge fucking let down. one could say that he can't find a proper drummer around, but c'mon we have internet now. just look at the latest death ritual demo, the guy was located in switzerland but the drums were recorded in turkey. there ain't no boundaries at all, one could simply find a drummer from somewhere else and have him posting the drum recordings via mail.

I think the drums are real. When I hear it just sounds out of tuned and sloppy drumming.

I generally like and/or don't mind a band to use drum-machine, in fact I like d. machines, furthermore my drum-set is a digital one (Roland TD-20) so I'm used to it... If it's done well I won't even bother to think that what I'm listening is from a machine!!

What is wrong with your ears? How can you possibly not hear it in at least the snare? Every single hit sounds EXACTLY the same.

That sound is an early example of a case of the triggers, that's why it sounds fake. The first Deicide has a really similar drum sound in a way, early triggers.
