Through the years there have been many labels that have come and gone in the Metal genre. There are only a few that have stood the test of time and can be considered a part of Metal as the music itself. Whether you love em or hate em, EARACHE RECORDS is one of them.

With releases from Morbid Angel, Carcass, Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Entombed and countless others,
What do you think is the ultimate EARACHE release?

My choice would have to be Carcass
"Nectroticism Descanting The Insalubrious"
with Morbid Angel "Altars Of Madness" at a close second.

Which will you choose?

Bolt Thrower - For Victory

That's not the sole possible answer -- ask me again next week, and it'll probably be either The IVth Crusade or Realm of Chaos, because I can never make up my mind. Twisted Evil Altars of Madness would definitely be my runner-up to the Bolt Thrower discography, though...

"Altars Of Madness" with "Necroticism" at a close second.

Earache released some classics!

It's to difficult to figure.
Too many classics.

I'll vote for Morbid Angel "Altars of Madness" for being one of earache's
first releases.

I'd be lying if I said anything other then Altars of Madness!

The early Earache roster houses many of my favorite albums and so I have to mention The Key, Symphonies of Sickness, Need to Control, Streetcleaner, From Enslavement to Obliteration, Harmony Corruption, Realms of Chaos, War Master, The IVth Crusade, For Victory, Left Hand Path and Blessed are the Sick. Many memories associated with that batch of albums! Drunken summer BBQ headbanging to Morbid Angel or blasting Bolt Thrower driving home from a show at 2am. Getting misty eyed reminiscing here! For me it's a tie between 5 albums because they're too different, which makes it impossible:

Napalm Death - Scum
Terrorizer - World Downfall
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
Godflesh - Streetcleaner
Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos

Although i must say Carcass - Necroticism.., Entombed - Left Hand Path & ND - FETO must be on the list as well.
