Not sure about the raison d'ętre of this repress...
Besides EPITOME OF DARKNESS will also be re-re-released in splatter for 15€

In the latest issue of Sweden Rock Magazine there's a tiny article on Repugnant.
My translation:
On why Repugnant has been silent since MDF 2011
Because of something as boring as lack of time (read: ghost). I've got material to 90% of a full length just laying around. When the stars align it will be done.
In 2010 you described that you were in a phase of your life that sparked that "young" in you, and that it was the reason for doing Repugnant again.
I stand behind everything i've said about death metal: there's something youthful and agressive in that expression. As soon as agressive death metal gets routine it's going to be bad. Now it feels kinda motivating that we didn't end up with the record/tour/record routine. It wouldn't have served it's purpose. Repugnant has always been a pretty chaotic band that's existed and played sporadically.
What can you say about the next album?
I think it will be a step forward without being Epitome of darkness part 2. The boundries are pretty tight for how you can explore that type of extreme music. I think we'll release an album within 3-4 years. |
