I think that this band is one of the most incredible death metal acts I have heard recently. Having only heard their most recent couple of eps and s/t full length I can't say if they have always been this good, but damn.

The vocals on the full length are perfect death metal vocals...it sounds like a worm eaten corpse is dry heaving a pile of dust from his rotten throat...the riffs seem almost alien, twisted and evil as they come. The atmosphere here is exactly what death metal needs to be, and done with a flair that makes this band stand out from the many acts seeking this ancient spirit nowadays. The fact that it was recorded live truly adds something as well, the occasional offbeat percussion only accentuates the power of the songs. All demons present here, all starving and enraged.

Not everyone will share my excitement for these guys but I confidently recommend at least a cursory listen to this band for anyone who has a hunger for really great death metal.

Anybody else? I am fast becoming obsessed. Twisted Evil

Killer band. Thought the compilation "Tänk På Döden" was great. The S/T lived up to my expectations.

Karnarium and Dead Congregation (and Teitanblood too, it seems) are amongst the best Death Metal acts nowadays. Obscure and evil Death Metal. They somehow remind of Necros Christos too.

Amazing band. Although I doubt they will generate 30 pages of 'support'.

Picked up the full length not too long ago, solid, dark DEATH metal. Other than the new Tribulation and Excoriate albums, this one is of the best DM releases of 2009 thus far... for me at least.

Another great thing about this record is the first track. Although its title is a bit unfortunate, "of groove and lust" basically sums up the spirit of the band. Total morbid decadence.

I actually like Dead Congregation a bit more than Karnarium, I just think the latter deserve a little more attention.
Teitanblood definitely comes in third if competing with these two Razz

Hmm. An articulate review, focusing primarily on the music. Spelling and grammar seems to be in place as well.

What's wrong with you??!! Wink

Totally agree, except Tribulation has yet to grab me.

The New Wave of Old School Death Metal is fucking awesome as a whole. Karnarium's s/t was a surprisingly awesome record. I can't wait to hear the next thing they do
