Having not the driest hands in the world, some of my things bear the marks of my handling. I heard rubbing alcohol is good for getting prints off of posters and record covers, but what about the labels on the records? Is there an alternative, or am I stuck with dirty hands? Should you wash your hands before handling vinyl? I've been using granulated sugar with water to absorb as much of the oil in my palms as I can. Seems to be working well. |

I always wash my hands before handling a sleeve. There some types of cardboard that are very very easy to have such finger print marks. I haven't found a way to remove them though WARNING when using alcohol, I DO NOT recommend alcohol for cleaning vinyls or sleeves or posters!!!! _________________ Good sellers/traders & Trade/sell/want list |

Yea, I wouldn't use alcohol either. I wash my hands before touching them and I still occasionally get fingerprints on sleeves, especially thick glossy ones. |

I always wash my hands before touch my vinyl stuff and use a piece to towel to clean the surface always from the center to the edge, and I wet with water a little bit the towel and start cleaning, this also helps to remove finger prints from covers with no risk to them…
Also you can use a that kind of towel is used to clean glasses, it also works for me as well for CDs. |

That new Wombbath Bootleg cover is sick. I have nothing against thin covers but this is a fingerprint magnet |

I never eat the things unless they're free. They never are.
With alcohol dismissed, what can you use to remove prints? Anything? |

My, they are KINGS of those!!! I think that the whole Wombbath album can be disloved into some kind of liquid and it will turn th cover into hero thing and the vinyl into coke... _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Fire is good. Or wear gloves and a face mask when handling your records. |
