Really amazing to see how comfortable people can get when they are clearly out of their depth. There is this thing in my brain, which tells my mouth to STOP and my eyes and ears to START when I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. I guess that's asking a lot from a segment of culture which seems to pride itself on creating a new extreme in the disparities of ego and intelligence....

I know the jokes on me if I start calling people out on semantics or for being disingenuous, but if you're not willing to even learn how to properly communicate... then I don't see how you could ever actually learn anything.

Straw skyscrapers are fucking everywhere.

I have to admit, industrial is a genre I know very little about, and I get the feeling if I talked to real industrial fans, they would laugh at me, like I laugh at cunts who think metalcore is death metal.

I like early Godflesh, and Pitchshifter (who after their industrial period are one of the few bands that still make me want to cut my ears off when I hear them), Laibach, Throbbing Gristle, some Skinny Puppy... I don't know enough about the genre to recognise a sub-genre from another though. I do love a lot of neo-folk/martial stuff though such as Der Blutharsch, Death in June, Current 93 etc.

Eastern Front from Israel has tons of great/unique music items.

Also, check out Projekt records from here in the states. it is owned/run by the guy from Black Tape For A Blue Girl.

I've heard of Projekt as well as Tesco i think which is like a huge distro for industrial/noise stuff (in the widest sense).

If you would've stripped away the über-pretentious phrasing, you would've taken the words out of my mouth/keyboard.

Ministry
Pailhead
Nosferatu
Decoded Feedback

Im not pretty sure if LARD & P.I.L. could fit in this vein, but I also enjoy those bands a lot.

When it comes to industrial, my collection consists of Skinny Puppy, Velvet Acid Christ, Wumpscut, Sanctum, MZ 412, Suicide Commando, Informatik, In Slaughter Natives... not sure if Brighter Death Now would be considered as industrial or not, but I have a few BDN cds as well

Cold Meat Industry are another big one as well as the now defunct World Serpent label. If you can find their past releases, apparently they were pretty consistent in terms of quality.

Now you come up with Neofolk and Martial Industrial, for which there also is a Neofolk and Martial thread. Oh, we also have one for Noise here.

Yeah, this thread has gone way, way off track. But that's to be expected when bringing up something non-Metal on a Metal forum.

Whoever mentioned Nosferatu. If I'm thinking about the goth rock band that released "Prince of Darkness" and "Rising" (a band I am fond of, by the way), then they are on the other end of the music spectrum.
