If Tony "Weeeeeeeeeee!!!!" Destrozer were here right now he'd be able to answer any and every question concerning any and every cult bad that has ever existed. He's like on par with Neal Tanaka as the world's greatest heavy metal hunter.

Furdidurk - I haven't heard much outside of their Demo and split with Bone Awl, but from this I can tell you that it is pretty standard "raw Black Metal" in the vein of Ildjarn. It's pretty good, in my opinion it's better than Bone Awl, but I would still take Akitsa and Forteresse over both of these bands.

Bone Awl sounds nothing like Furdidurk. Furdidurk is more flowing black metal in the Norse style and less Ho-Down like Bone Awl is. I'm not sure what Bone Awl you're listening to because all Bone Awl is pretty heavily punk sounding to me. I hear a lot of 80's punk like Reagan Youth in their sound.

I've listened to Bog Bodies/Magnetism of War, and Not for Our Feet . I don't hear any "WE ARE THE SONS OF REAGAN... Heeeil!" in it, at all. I guess I can see the punk feel from "Almost Dead Man" now that I listen to it again.

Like I said, I have only heard "Main Song" and a few demo songs by Furdidurk can't really get a good grasp of what the band sounds like. From what I heard I hear some pretty standard Raw BM, I remember thinking " eh, is this Empire of Hate, Visions?" when I heard it.

Agree on this, and on end will say that both bands are awesome!

If you like slow theatrical black metal with out of tune singing/screaming, then Urfaust is your band.

If you like generic black metal with weather reports in finnish , then Horna is for you . they are the Nunslaughter of Black metal with tons of split EP , ep , best off , things , useless things ..2 albums by year .
the 2 first album are quite good but the rest ...

- Behexen are friends of Horna , they have always been satanist since the beginning , but since the last ones , they are particulary religious .. strange isn't it ? Screaming high pitched voice and nothing really special to me , but they have their fns , so I guess I'm not the right person to talk about them .

Somes Horna and Behexen guys have done a project called sargeist , which is one of the band I hate the most

Poison into the abyss is really good. I wish Costa had used the original LP cover with those skull diamonds. The humpty dumpty cover he used for the DLP was kind of dumb looking.

That cover was done By Uli H. and he wished that it is used on the Re-Release.

You have no idea about the lyrics? At least since Corvus has been the vocalist, the lyrics are not even close what you wrote. I like some Horna material, but not all. They released only one release 2008, so...

I think My Soul for His Glory is one of the best releases in 2008.

You think they jumped on this "religious" bandwagon? Sure they did...2000, with Rituale Satanum. Rolling Eyes

Check the sample here:

Anyway, they used lower vocals on My Soul... and I think that worked a lot better than the previous style.

i have a finnish friend translating lyrics of one of their first things and that was not brillant ... they have too much releases , sorry I haven't been able to read all of their lyrics , thus my judgment is pretty fast you're right .

I'm sorry i don't like those 3 bands Mikael . difference of opinions ...

Brocas Helm is not that far removed from Slough FEg, though obviously Brocam were first. Their music is a dark, trad metal with a really unique sound and great dynamic. Like others have mentioned., 'Black Death' is a true masterpiece with psychedelic tones and a galloping rhythm. 'Into Battle' is also great, but 'BD' was their golden moment for sure.

There is simply not enough praise for this band!!!

Yeah no shit now that youre mentioning that Reagan Youth similarity soundwise. It really has that old RY "I hate hate" type of sound.

PS. Did anyone spot a similarty between Killdozer - "Knuckles The Dog" And Inquisition's slower songs? Also there's this Inquisition tune from their second album that has the riff entirely stolen from one of Moonblood's songs off their debut LP.
