Thank you for posting this, PanzerGeneral. I have been meaning to check out Carl Nielsen for a very long time. I love the oriental sound of this.

I'm sure the opening track from the Wappenbund ‎– Kinder Des Lichtes album will do the trick.

From what I’ve heard, Svartedöden’s Iniquitatem project (albums ”Den Sista Vilostunden” and ”Through the time of medieval war”) might fit the description provided in the first post. Haven’t listened to those album yet myself, but they might be worth looking into.

You are welcome - maybe not triumphant all the way but the start at least is good. Reminds me of Dance of the Knights for some reason.

They both have that waltz-like rhythm.

Yeah but something about the notes as well? Anyway just went through it again - and the first movement is really good. I wonder if he could have pulled off titles like that in today climate haha!

Death in June is equal parts decadent but first thing that came to mind. https://youtu.be/fRApoLS1LbQ this thelemic anthem with David Tibet especially.

Geirr Tveitt's Baldur Traumar has many Conan(esque) & triumphant moments.
Sadly not available on youtube but the soundtrack used in this trailer documentary is the begginning of this ballet:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GebYmcbUTOM

Also Harald Saeverud's Ballad of Revolt. More of a call to arms than triumphant.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tpHO_tOv5w

Wilhelm Stenhammar - Excelsior! as well

Skyrim OST is totally epic!
Also the opening theme of Wagner's "Thus spoke Zarathustra" or The Ride of the Valkyries.

Strauss, not Wagner.

Actually, why limit yourself to that? Frozen, just delve deep into the Ring Des Nibelungen opera cycle in its entirety! It's four operas, all of them brilliant, following an epic story of Nordic gods, enchanted treasures, (arguably Semitic) evil little dwarfs, incest, giants, dragons, more incest, and finally - incest. It fucking rocks.

ETA: Would recommend the Solti box set for starters.
