Recently received this vinyl, and I must say it's fucking amazing. It's a recording of the very first Mercyful Fate show ever and has some killer photos that I'd never seen before, as well as unreleased songs. You can even hear a VERY early version of Curse of the Pharaohs. I must say that this band was just as heavy if not heavier than VENOM in 1981, this live recording is even up to par with the material on Return of the Vampire.

Absolutely mandatory for any Mercyful Fate fanatic, but only 325 were made so make your purchase quickly before they fade away into metal collections forever!

Believe me, it is worth every penny you can pay for it. There is an unreleased song on it called 'The Witch' apparently about King's ex girlfriend whom he murdered. This song sounds like a blackened version of something Maiden would have done in the Di'anno era. Why Fate didn't keep this song is something I cannot comprehend. The musical tightness and absolute professionalism of this band on even their first show is one in a million. I also learned from this picture disc that BEFORE 'A Dangerous Meeting' was called 'Death Kiss, it was called 'Walking Back to Hell' and the early version is as raw and energetic as you can get.

Mercyful Fate has proven yet again that they belong in the very highest echelon in the pantheon of the metal gods.

Thanks alot for the tip, pic lp ordered!!

Yeah, "The Witch" is an excellent song. It's on the "Sabbath of all Witches"
bootleg aswell, great track in the good old Mercyful Fate spirit. I actually
think this pic lp has the same concert as on the "Sabbath of all Witches" boot.

Never seen the pic used on this pic lp. Brilliant!

I generally hate bootlegs, but this one sounds very interesting. If Hells Headbangers weren't charging $30, I'd snatch it up in a second.

I don't like being taken advantage of.

Heh, I think it's worth the $30, but you're also talking to someone that has five versions of Don't Break the Oath and the album cover of 9 tattood on his chest so maybe I'm a bit biased Laughing

I have a CD copy of "Sabbath of all Witches" which contains the same show. Came out in 100 copies, nice layout & presentation. PM me with offers.

The recording is surprisingly good, all instruments are clear, the vinyl itself sounds great.

Hank Shermman does an insane guitar solo near the end too.
