While listening to the new KPN song I was wondering which songs, bands.. have been using or used brass instruments in their compositions. Preferable acoustic. I suppose it would work very well for some NSBM bands. If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful.

Necromantia has a song with sax (i believe) on Scarlet Evil Witching Black.

Sear Bliss has trumpet on at least one record I am familiar with.

It became sort of common in the prog side of black metal. Arcturus, Solefald and Ihsahn have done it before.

Whilst not BM, one of the first things that came to mind was Beyond Dawn-Pity Love

Helheim on Jormundgand

Love those extended saxophone solos in their older tracks (like Fliegenpilz) on Live in Amsterdam!

The euphonium part in Nattens skjønnhet is pure magic. How they could go on from that to Cainian Chronicle and later abominations will always be beyond me.

Sax is woodwind, not brass Mr. Green

But while we're in that ballpark, do any bands use hunting horn sounds? Would sound cool in bm. Emperor used something like it on "in the wordless chamber" though it might just be a vocal effect.

L'ordure à l'état Pur from KPN also has some great brass.

The last Infandous album has brass on most songs iirc,
