any fans? How's the coming 2nd Lp so far Mr. Masters throne?
To me this band is hit or miss, IMO some tracks are REALLY good then some tracks are simply indecipherable noise, it's great that they always include solos on their songs too. The pic 7" ep released couple of years ago is my favorite so far. I heard someone released their 1992 + Demos but I havent checked it yet. |

KRATORNAS is definitely hit and miss. Some good tracks, some bad ones. A lot of the recordings I've heard are pure noise.
If you're looking for good Filipino metal check out DEIPHAGO. That band formed in 89 and are contemporaries with BLASPHEMY, PROFANATICA, BEHERIT etc and play a similar style of total bestial chaos.
I also highly recommend PATHOGEN if you're looking for great Filipino death metal. Great blackened death riffs and a simple old school feel to the songs.
Like everything else in existence you can preview these bands on MySpace. _________________ "Great men are like eagles, and build their nest on some lofty solitude." - Schopenhauer |

I've only heard the tracks from the split with Goatvomit. Aside from the shitty drum machine it sounds pretty good. Fucking Chaotic as hell.. |

The demos The Onslaught of Battledemons and Hecatomb to Affliction were such insane music. I've never heard later their later releases but I hope they keep this intensity and this madness. And there are riffs among this chaos, if someone uses his ears carefully. _________________

The new album kills as much as their older stuff. The great thrashing guitars combined with the noisy drum-machine is nothing but great. The debut album was also great...
The second album will be even more brutal and fukkin' loud. The mastering at Necromorbus studio was a really good thing to do.
The album will be released at the end of January/early February. Everything is at the pressing plant, pre-orders for the die hard version (+ patch and button) will be accepted within the next 24 hours (I still have to work a lot on other things before spreading it...).
A sample will be uploaded quite soon via our myspace page. Love it or hate it... _________________

Considering its been mentioned that this band is somewhat hit and miss, I suppose its kind of wrong of me to judge a band based on the one tape I have of them but to be honest I thought they were a little bit crap... |

I got the last album on CD and well, what a progression since the last releases. So now it's well-produced and one can hear that this is really music and not noise. There are killer riffs, slower parts, and overall there are songs now. It reminds me a bit of early IMPIETY or SURRENDER OF DIVINITY, but with more madness. The album would have been better with real drums, though, since their music is more "organized" now.
Overall, this was a very good surprise for me. I'm still hooked to some of the insane songs on this album. _________________
