is a bootleg - I don't remember the source right now, and if my memory serves me well, they had appeared around 2013 or something - if it was "done by the band themselves" then we would know about it Wink .

You got a brand new official reissue of it, nicely made, on sale in half the price of this boot so no worries about it.

I bought the BUTA reissue as fast I could breathe. I was just wondering what bogus trinket someone was trying to pass off as an original.

I could be wrong but I think those bootlegs were made by a guy in Colombia.

I think you are rather right, and they might be the same guys had out a bootleg tape of the greek "diehard rehearsal" CD, a tape of a blasphemy set from 'fuck christ tour' and a tape with the old material of Von, among other things.

I still can't believe how a band with so little output as Blasphemy has so many bootlegs - either records or merch Sad - the fucking bootlegers try to milk the ross bay goat as much as they can.

I almost bought a FAOD tape boxset I found online. I knew it was a boot and knew I could not live with myself if I purchased it.

Gods of war is pure satanic grinding blackness. Fucking love Caller's almost spacey guitar solos. I always wondered if 3 Black Hearts' playing on this record influenced Hellhammer's drumming on De Mysteriis... the way he pummels the toms repeatedly instead of "proper" rolls always reminded me of 3 Black Hearts on Gods of War.

As a teen "Empty Chalice" was the most evil and satanic piece of music I ever knew.

The only band who came close to capturing the Blasphemy sound and was even more violent was Bestial Warlust.

I would say Beherit and later Conqueror.

I can agree to an extent. Beherit was on another level with some of their stuff and Conqueror was much noisier. Bestial sounds like Blasphemy on steroids.

I would add "Antichrist - Sacrament Of Blood" - it's an obvious choice, but on this enjoyable album the vocals are so close to FAOD, along with the fantastic songs.
