Do you boycott Bathory too because of Venom?

I'm certain this is going to cause a massive shit-storm, but Quorthon has stated that he never heard any music by Venom before starting Bathory until years later.

Ahh whatever, you get what I mean though.

I'm a massive Dissection fan too.

They definitely took that sound from ATG.

That's ridiculous. Sacramentum doesn't sound much like either Dissection or At the gates. They were all apart of the same creative milieu, so it's not strange to notice some slight similarities, but to say that Sacramentum are a clone of any of them is just ignorant. Listen again.

Got rid of "Far Away From the Sun" years ago because to my ears it was like a wimpier Somberlain. Guess I didn't listen enough...

Well, it's a matter of taste in the end of course. I was listening to it today again, and it was as great as always.

The problem a lot of people seem to have with Sacramentum is that they listen to it expecting to hear a Dissection clone and they judge it from that perspective. Sacramentum is their own band.

if u feel like updating metal-archives and becoming metal god, you can state that there 1st mcd was released by evil records (the bands own label) , then got re released by adippocere.

I see you're still offended by the fact that somebody uploaded a band to metal archives. If you know this, update it yourself instead of pissing and moaning when somebody else does it because they "don't really know it."

i dont need a web site to boost my ego . ive got you. No point adding anything , when someone like yourself only deletes it, then later adds it themselves/

I haven't listened to this album in quite a few years. I remember it being rather good. I don't mind a lot of the melodic Sweden stuff, so as long as it's not happy sounding crap with wimpy subject matter (In Flames). As a guitar player myself, I happen to appreciate good guitar work.

Clones? Yeah. Not a very original band at all. However, cloning Dissection isn't something any ol' idiot can do, like they can with Darkthrone.

It is a good album, but that's about it. I have seen it on eGay for some ridiculous prices. I think this was never on wax. I think their best was the first mlp.
