What do you mean saying "proper"? There are plenty of High Roller reissues over the last years that are still available and are amazing both in sound and printing qualities.

https://www.discogs.com/Slaughter-Strappado/release/11239120 -- Great album - a classic. But I like the demo even more.

What always confused me was the number of different mixes of this album which is best to most people?

Really? I only knew that the Fringe Recs. CD press had remastered sound but I didn't know about different mixes.

I think it's the High Roller CD that confuses as it has that alternative rough mix in it. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. The original mix of the LP is the real deal.

I have almost all editions and can say that Nuclear Blast reissue cd sounds fine!

Avoid War on Music vinyl reissue.High roller is fine.

Nevertheless,if you can hit the original lp,it's the real deal.

I think I miss Marquee cd reissue.

Uh yeah - I was lucky enough to get the one from Apocalyotor (? I think) years ago. Really great lp. I might be time for a re-release. But until that happens - I recommend getting the demo cd from the band. They are real nice and will sign your cd if you ask. Well worth the money.

Signed mine without asking, but hey I don't mind, it's fuckin' Slaughter. Cool "Surrender or Die" guitar sound is so savage and super heavy, anticipates that Nihilist/Entombed chainsaw sound!

Nocturnal Karnage LP is a killer release too, extra kudos to Agipunk for doing quality release and keeping the price low yet again!

I have a 4CD box-set with demo and live shit, it's so dope. Don't really like the Not Dead Yet/Paranormal era, that Bay Area sound was very odd for them...

Back in November I've been rocking this one, Spectrum of Death and Leave Scars for days.

A true classic.

Yeah, their later material wasn't very good at all. I got rid of the Fatal Judgement tape a while ago.
