Metallica's classic "For whom the bell tolls" slowed down to 33 RPM. Sounds better than the original me thinks:

I agree, sounds fuckin great!!! imagine this with a rotten production and sick vox, hey hey hell yeah, haha!! in fact many 45 rpm tracks are better when slowed. and they become morbid as well...

Necropsy 7" "some dark impressions" sounds like some filthy doom when slowed down

I believe its the second song on Trench Hells - Southern Cross ripper, on 33rpm sounds like some killer death metal!

hearing that metallica re-affirms that Rasmussan was their best producer.. you can hear some of it really well when slowed, like what was done with the guitars in some parts

It oddly gives them this Celtic Frost type sound. Weird.

Fight Fire With Fire is even better than this when slowed ... filthy and evil as fuck!!

Another cool example of this is when you click the Drowned "Viscera Terrae" LP over to 33 ... it's like switching between Necros Christos and Drowned haha.

Try this also with Blasphemy's "Blood Upon the Altar" LP ... fucking EVIL!!

YES! I did this by accident once, and ended up listening to the whole thing twice as it was so fucking heavy. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the first time I put on Portal Seepia on LP it was at 45, and didn't notice until the next time I listened to the CD Laughing

this is sort of how i started down tuning. when i was a kid i put in a "master tape" from a 4 track in a regular stero and it was played at slower speed. i was amazed how crushing it sounded so we tuned lower and played the songs slower.
