Recently saw Incantation and Absu in Columbus (two separate concerts). Both amazing.
I got pretty obliterated for Incantation to the point of getting sick right before their set. Some assholes were heckling me in the bathroom until the bassist walked in and told them off saying "we've all been there." I'm sure he was flattered that I made an extra effort to get tanked for their show. Needless to say, I recovered after chugging a bunch of water and raged up at the front. Close call.
Absu hosted a meet-and-greet at my friend's record store before their show. Pretty cool guys but the vocalist Proscriptor was pretty damn weird. I can definitely see how his personality shapes his on-stage performance which was wild.
Mystifier is supposedly playing in Columbus this coming September but nothing is official yet. Crossing my fingers. |
