I'm wondering what general opinions on this album are (ideology of it aside). I found a copy of this on Nuclear Blast in the used bin last night and decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, and I was surprised to hear pretty good DARKTHRONE-ish stuff on this! Christian bands aren't usually my thing, but ideology has never stopped me from liking something and the music makes up for it on this as far as I'm concerned.

I think it's funny record with some nice moments. It reminds me early Abigail stuff in a way. It's album done for fun anyway...

I avoid christian stuff (musically talking) but sometime ago someone record me that, and it is pretty solid, nice stuff...
more decent than those wannabe BM that now are dead...

I tend to avoid Christian stuff as well, but the lyrics are unintelligible so it's not like it affects the music at all. If one had never heard the album before and listened to it without the booklet, they'd never know it was Christian. I'm in this for the music, not the subject matter.

Besides, the music is done so well in the black metal style that it sounds evil and anything they do in the lyrics almost comes across as more of a mockery than anything, using Christianity against itself. The style of music is too aggressive for the religion and contradicts itself; in this instance the lyrics take back seat to the music, and nothing they put in the lyrics can salvage it from that.

Yes, it is that guy.

Never checked them, besides one track at one free Compilation CD. Well, it was shit. And still I am surprised how often this is to find within collections of friends and mates. With a big label, even the shittiest CDs can be sold. Fukk off...

Whether it's "ok musically" or not it's still a christian band preaching a christian message. Why you would want to go near this sort of thing is beyond me.

I guess you listen to bands to who preach about life on earth then? No
demons, no fallen angels, no Satan?
Just wondering.

The CD was part of those surprise CD packages NUCLEAR BLAST sold at some point. Thatīs maybe why so many people have it.

I have a tape version which I got sent by someone from Malaysia for free in a pack with other stuff.

I just remember liking the cover, canīt even remember the music.
