A lot of indie rock bullshit has made it's way into the mix.

I can really hear the coldplay influences.

Indie Rock: rock music on an INDEPENDENT label, i.e. not Coldplay. Try again. However, it seems like I am getting some disagreements on this one...so I will just say that if you can listen to the newer DSO stuff and not hear any post rock, shoegaze, indie hipster sounds, you need to pull the turds out of your ears.

Shoegaze in new DsO?! I don't like it, but I think you're trying too hard...

You do realise there's quite a lot of differing rock on independent labels in the world?

Sure this band incorporates some influences into their music that isn't part of the standard rule book. I don't see that as a problem as they actually make it unique and dark.
That latest album is fucking insane and dissonant storm that's pretty welcomed. There aren't much similarities with mathcore bands either.
You don't listen to such music for fun, like most other Metal. I guess that's the irritating part for most people.

I don't. How about at least one example?

I didnt like Fas. The new split with S.V.E.S.T is ok, much better than Fas. SMRC is killer, theyre best work IMO.

I love their newer material a considerable amount more than pre-SMRC releases... if anyone likes the newer sound, you should try listening to Necrite, from CA, USA.
