Man...I went and looked at the re done version on youtube and got sidetracked.
Ended up watching 'Heavy Metal Parking lot" and the "Where are they now 20th Anniversary" sequel......
"They should make a joint so big it fits across America, and everybody would smoke it."
Hell Yeah.
Priest for life.

New song is up on youtube - "Never the Heroes":

"Firepower" was a pretty cool track, but I think this song sucks...weak, bland and boring music with lame lyrics.

It's not terrible, but it's definitely the weakest track that they've released for the new album so far.

Listening to it for the first time now.

Who else has heard it? What do you think?

Was not sure what to think with this album and I had my own biases. But I'm glad to say it's better than I expected! Most of the songs and overall sound is better than on Redeemer. Only think that they could have done is to cut off 4-5 songs or 20 minutes minimum to make it more compact. Now there are few songs that really drag. Less is more.

My friend is bringing it to my house Saturday night for a listening party. I'm anxious to hear it even though my initial reaction has been pretty negative.

I don't think it got mentioned ITT but on the upcoming tour Glenn Tipton won't be playing due to advances/complications with Parkinson's Disease. Andy Sneap will be filling in on guitar. Take that for what it's worth. Confused Crying or Very sad Shocked

First show of the tour was last night, and they played a bunch of old tracks. Including "Saints in Hell" for the first time ever, and it sounds amazing!

So I listened to Firepower Saturday...I liked it a lot! First impression is that it's the group's best work since Painkiller. "Never the Heroes" sucks, but the other 13 songs are pretty great for 2018 Judas Priest. I will definitely buy it.

Crazy that they are playing "Saints In Hell" on this tour - one of my fave Priest songs!! They're also playing "Sinner"!!! Unfortunately, I can't make it to the Long Island show this weekend.
