Cannot forget this!!!

Has someone heard something about a 3 cd Death Metal compilation which is supposed to be released with the German version of the Death Metal book?

Yeah for Daniel Ekeroths book- I have an email with the tracklists and liner notes- lots of great stuff on there: Mefisto, Merciless, Morbid, Carbonized, Evocation, Seance, Toxaemia, Furbowl, Macrodex, House Of Usher blah blah blah- mainly demo/ 7" tracks but some album tracks of bigger bands.

I wish Drowned would release something new.
Other than Drowned, I'm waiting to hear new Katharsis, Varathron etc.

Heavy metal Bulldozer !!

I heard the german METALUCIFER album some days ago.
Doesnīt sound like METALUCIFER at all, but all NWOBHM worshippers will love it.

What does it sound like then? GORGON? Very Happy
I hope it isn't too much like the song on the split with SABBAT. That track was awful.

Canīt compare since I donīt have the SABBAT Split (yet), It sounds a bit more hardrockish in the guitar sound and the vocals are done by Blumi so the typical japanese accent is missing of course.

that's kinda disappointing to hear. Gezols engrish adds character to metalucifer itself, dunno why they used blumi for vocals.

Needed to ask Tormentor about 3 times in a row ītill I got that right.

There is the same album to be released by a german METALUCIFER band and a japanese METALUCIFER band.

German band...
Blumi - guitars/vocals
Cliff Skeletor Bubenheim - Bass (he is playing bass in ANGEL OF DAMNATION, did session tour bass in ZEMIAL and some other bands)
Tormentor - Drums

Japanese band consists of Gezol and whoever else...

The german band didnīt record 4 of the tracks which will be on the japanese album because they thought they suck. Re-recorded an older track instead to get the playing time. So thereīs a bit of difference in the tracklist.

There is some weird shit going on with european and asian release dates of the albums too.... But too much confusion for me, he he.

haha that's really interesting!. So theres a German Metalucifer now, back then it was Gezol and the german guys for europe, sounds great tho, I'm a fan of metal inquisitor too so I will probably pick both versions. Thanks for the info, thats a cool surprise indeed.

They should release a Metalucifer/Metalucifer Split LP/CD. That would top the Scurvy/Scurvy Split LP (where the same band did a Split with themselves) Wink
