Pretty much just straight up hard rock, I quite like this record, picked it up for 20p on a whim, not rare or particularly cult but worth a mention/giggle in the Bulgarian thread!

LOVE the band photo on back!

I like the Crickets. I picked this one up for cheap at some point because of the incredible front cover. It has some really good mellow rock songs, reminding me of Toto and the like.

If you like this kind of AOR & pop rock, this album by Stanislav Slanev ("Stanley") is worth checking out (the rest not so much).

Crickets is not "worth a giggle", it is THE classic Bulgarian hard-rock band (and the one that got me into hard rock and heavy metal).

Stanley falls into the paradigm of post-punk/ new wave, he was vocalist of legendary band Tangra:

His album "The road to the temple" is indeed very good (this video aptly uses images from Tengiz Abuladze's film 'Repentance'):

A globally revered prog band (and with a Grammy) is FSB:

A classic band that makes me giggle is Signal; however, they do have good songs and may appeal to many.

Umh.... I actually wish Mezarkabul (with their old singer) had covered it; it would fit their style perfectly.

First Pentagram is classic evil Speed Metal in style of early Destruction&Sodom though.

Yeah the only listenable thing they made..anyway they have no connection with Bulgaria. Pentagram = Sevi Smile
Don't know any other non-Bulgarian band to cover any Bulgarian song. Except for Ladythron's Kletva, also a Crickets cover..

Any info on Leprosy from Kurjali? Seems like a cult DM band in Bulgaria yet almost zero info.

Cult - not that much, I think the only track they left officially was for the "Mortality Rate" compilation, which was done by a good friend of mine back in the early 90's - Georgi. By the way at that time there was another Leprosy from Stara Zagora...straight death metal.

I do not want to reveal any planned releases, since I haven't found the needed materials (master, extra photos, etc.) to realize them...yet.

Looking for info about Suppurated Corpse from Silistra - they had a demo in '92 for sure, since I have that old D.E.A.D. zine with article about it.
