after listening to shoegaze since high school i've come to realize that I pretty much only like the EP and 1st album by The Ecstasy of St Theresa. Everything else is too soft and boring for me. not tryna hate on it's just not for me.

but yeah I like this...

One of the best My Bloody Valentine'ish bands indeed. But this more ambient record by Ecstasy of St Theresa i also fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5vNW1BBZW8

There was at least one more good shoegaze band in Czech Republic: Here. They also did more pop and commercial stuff later as also Ecstasy of St Theresa, but this is slow and hard shoegaze: https://youtu.be/M1HcXWtR-i0

Swallow with their "Blowback" is absolute bliss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH23Jbbanvc

Many Kranky Records releases are very essential. Windy & Carl, Labradford - those are amazing!

But if someone needs very obscure, but magnificent shoegaze, then check out Bizarre from Estonia: https://seksound.bandcamp.com/album/beautica

Auburn Lull: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9lrth1w24M

And you can't beat "Celectial" by The Telescopes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qN9Ryl5Sok

Sometimes I wonder what is the necessity to try to discuss about these genres on this forum. I'm sure there are more appropriate sites/forums for it.

as much as I enjoy Shoegaze I agree, I don't need to talk about it here... Metalcore worship will only get worse though as long as labels pander to Vegan faggotry honestly, a very slippery slope.

This forum should be judged by hair cuts... if you have a shoe gaze 'core' anything cut you are out. (and we will know if you combed your bangs back just this once to fool us)

I haven't shaved my head in weeks and look like a baby duck. Actually wondering if I should grow it back out. Don't know if I have the discipline to not shave my head for a few years while it gets long enough. I almost forget what it's like to eat my own hair every time I take a bite of food or drive with the windows down.

Just looked at the pamphlet and I am leaning towards the Bret Michaels bandana/extension combo. The dreadlock extensions look nice too though.

Cool, I was going to suggest the Tom Warrior toque and long hair combo, but it is probably too hot down there for the knit hat look... plus your mascara would run from the sweat where you are ending up more goth and emo than black metal.

Do people here really think that black metal has not taken influence from shoegaze?? Especially with production? Everything from Alcest to Velvet Cacoon to Deafheaven and tons in between have incorporated shoegaze into their sound. It seems only natural that black metal fans would want to investigate these influences.
