actually, would Sturmfuhrer fit for jackbootgaze? i've never heard any of it but my understanding is that was the project that became Methadrone...

Unfortunately not... pretty straight up dark ambient/industrial. Not enough (any?) guitars Sad

LOOOL Laughing
Well, Actually Roman Saenko had a project with Neige... so, if he releases sth in that vein, it would not be that strange... Rolling Eyes

Going back to the shoegaze talk, Curve (uk) are the perfect blend of shoegaze+electronic with a lot of anxiety added. Also, let's not forget about Cocteau Twins.

Drab Majesty are shoegaze with an 80's goth slant. Really great band.

Heaven or Las Vegas is definitely shoegaze-y.

after listening to shoegaze since high school i've come to realize that I pretty much only like the EP and 1st album by The Ecstasy of St Theresa. Everything else is too soft and boring for me. not tryna hate on it's just not for me.

but yeah I like this...

Ecstasy of St Theresa was a real gem...have not listened in a long while.

Flying Sauecr Attack may be a little off the OP but I think had a lot to offer to anyone in this realm. split with Telefunken was magnificent.

I saw SEEFEEL mentioned earlier,
early stuff Polyfusia and QuiQue are more of the "pop" and "dub" angle,
Succour, Starethrough EP, and CH-Vox have an electronic, industrial, dark ambient slant to them -- worth checking out

their newest album is solely in the electronica realm -- good if you dig Boards of Canada

I don't know much about this genre but I do like early Coc Twins (do they even count?) and early Lush. I still have the double 10" of Spooky from those days. Incredible album.

Lush is awesome. I wish the whole of Spooky was produced like this remix of Superblast!

The s/t album is definitely a genre classic.
