I look forwards to hearing this, but the artwork is horrible. Looks like something from all those shit Razorback bands. To me, it looks like cheesy, childish comic book stuff, doesn't convey any of the grimnity of the music at all.

Interesting. Gave the split another spin this morning and I really think it's the other way round. Anyway.

Looks like I will need that. The layout is fantastic.

The Anatomia songs on the three-way split are pretty boring to me. As is the whole release btw. They slip away just too easy. Surely good for the moment, beating the devil's tattoo on the steering wheel, but unfortunately there's no grip. And so I hope the music can keep up with Putrid's splendid rotten art here.

As I have understand it , those are the tracks from the 3way split CD. Will most likely trade with Yosuke for it anyway, so IŽll decide then if I like it or not.

This is their demo.

Yosuke had planned to release the Anatomia tracks, from the 3 way split, as a 10", but then learned the whole 3 way split was being released on vinyl, so he went with releasing the bands demo, plus a cover track on vinyl instead.

An interesting new direction for the NWN! aesthetic. I like it.

I really like this color combination.

Black/white/red is too boring.

It probably reminds you of those Razorback bands because it's the same artist. Putrid did the covers for several recent Razorback releases. As far as being "cheesy, childish comic book stuff" the guy was clearly influenced by old E.C. horror comics, so the look is intentional - and those of us old enough to remember and have loved E.C. Comics really dig on this stuff. No it's not super-grim, self-serious art - but frankly I think the metal scene is overloaded with that stuff. I like seeing somebody take it in a different direction. And this is very well-suited to a band like Anatomia.

Speaking of grapevine, the cover makes me thirsty for grape soda. I've always enjoyed Putrid's work.

That would explain things! Frankly, if I was old enough to remember EC Comics, I still wouldn't like the style. It does nothing for me. It doesn't have to be "super grim" and serious, but to me this style doesn't convey the records content.
