You can say whatever you want about Mayhem/Euronymous/Vikernes/norwegian Black Metal etc... But Deathlike Silence Productions had one of the most powerful catalog ever. Looking' at all these classics today it's pretty hard to choose one. But i'm pretty interrested in what release has the more love.

I'll go with the first Burzum coz it's probably the one i listened to the most... Still nothing can beat Merciless when it comes to vile death/thrash.

Easy answer: De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - the greatest Black Metal album ever made.

Voted for Vikingligr Veldi (one of my all time faves) but it's really a hard choice between that and DMDS.

Will not choose. There is no weak albums on that list.

If you'd asked me a long time ago, I'd have said Burzum S/T. Now I have to say DMDS.

MAYHEM - DMDS for me even if I'm not the biggest Black Metal fan around.MERCILESS - The Awakening is just one small step below. One of the Greatest Records inprints from 90s with awesome catalogue!!!

P.S I wish recent record label owners paid more atenttion to quality than quantity.Personaly I do not need all these "die hards" or coloured editions.Just black vinyl with QUALITY MUSIC and ARTWORK is enough.
