Morbid Angel - European Madness 1989
Gorgoroth - 1994
Inquisition - ?? years ago

I recently saw Celestial Bloodshed and it was amongst the best shows of the recent years. If only their CD would be as good as their shows.

Same goes for The One. I saw them a year ago. A killer live ritual but they aren't able to capture that on an album.

Let's see....

GWAR New Year's Eve in Richmond, my first real metal show, was a blast.

Unleashed/Krisun/Belphegor was a blast. My friend also puked at several locations in and around the venue, which was funny.

Putrid Pile at the MDF '07 was impressive, if only because it's one short tubby dude with a drum machine.

Behemoth, out of an otherwise crappy line up (Keep of Kalasin/Dimmu Borgir). Every thing looked very choreographed and militant. I thought Dimmu might be at least amusing afterwards, but their sound was so bad that we left early. Couldn't hear the guitars or drums through the keyboards and vocals!

Watain last Halloween. I guess they had to tone it down for the venue, despite plans, but it was still over the top. Again with crappy bands, but it gives me time to chat and drink.

Was at that show as well. Shittiest opening bands ever with that one "zombie" metal band with the drum machine.

Another old dude, started going to shows in 79...

first "heavy" one was Rainbow & BOC at the craptastic Spectrum in Philly, Pa. Also remember seeing Maiden on the "Killers" tour at the Tower theater ...
spent the rest of the 80's & early 90's in Florida, lotta shows; Nasty Savage , Death, Carcass, had a blast seein' Hellwitch play at some skate park in Lake Worth , maybe 91-92?...
been living in NC for almost 15 years now, nothing happens here... I did enjoy the HELL outta the Watain/Angelcorpse/Negative Plane gig out in Winston-Salem at this weirdo fratboy-reggae club....

okay,bedtime...

I have been to several memorable concerts, but the one I liked the most was Black Sabbath at Radio City Hall. I was in New York visiting my family, and I realized that Black Sabbath were playing. I bought the tickets as fast as I could, and saw what I would say was one of the best shows ever to be experienced. The next day I saw Dio and the rest of Sabbath and they signed my 3 Black Sabbath cds. I was even videotaped and am in the live DVD that was released.

Dillinger Escape Plan the first 4 or 5 times I saw them (this band is useless now, but their live shows used to be intense)

i saw them for the first time last year and i think it's pretty intense already, if that was useless compared to their old days then i guess those old shows must have been REALLY INTENSE...

Dissection- last concert (on so many levels this means a lot to me- final show of my favourite band, plus I have a massive phobia of flying, and basically had to get on a plane for the first time in 13 years to make it)

I've seen Metallica in London twice at 800 capacity venues in '95 and '97

Watain anywhere and everywhere I have seen them - from their first London show in a shitty pub to Wacken this year they always deliver.

Nifelheim at Wacken this year. So intense. A friend of mine who hadn't really heard them before came out saying that was probably the best band he's ever seen live.

Iron Maiden- Bruce's first show back at Earls Court 2000 with Slayer and Entombed!

Heaven and Hell- really didn't want to see them at Wembley as it's such a shit venue, my friend got tickets to Bournemouth, and it was such a great venue and such a great concert.

Enforcer blew my mind last year.

So many others I can't even think of right now- I have every ticket and flyer for every show I have ever been to since I first started going to gigs in '93 maybe one day I will sit down and go through them and actually sort out the best gigs I have ever been to.
