Ahhhhh' the Glory Days, the 1980's!

There's quite a few concerts and gigs most memorable for me.
But I have to say the ones that stick out, are:

*JUDAS PRIEST- Screaming for Vengeance 1982 Tour
*KISS- Dynasty Tour 1979
*IRON MAIDEN- Powerslave Tour 1985

and all the RUSH concerts Ive witnessed in the past.
there are many more, but this will do. Dont wanna write a novel about it.

DAZED AND CONFUSED since 1971.

Strangely enough the most memorable show for me was several years ago when some death sludge band (still don't know what there name was) played in the back of a small bar I happened to be in front of about six people who never left their bar stools. They played about 20 minutes straight before destroying everything including the equipment and there bodies. It was the most depressive sight I have ever witnessed. Thats the one that sticks out most for me.

Being younger generation, I don't have gig experiences before millennium, so...

Iron Maiden 2003 summer, Helsinki - My first time seeing mighty Maiden. This was very important gig for me.
Watain/Archgoat 2005, Helsinki - the sickest Watain show I've seen, and seen them many times during the years. Also first time seeing Archgoat and it was devastating.
Dissection/Watain 2004, Helsinki
Nifelheim all the gigs I've seen, but the 2006 Tikkurila gig tops them all.
Bolt Thrower 2006, Helsinki - perhaps the best death metal gig ever
Sadistic Intent/Possessed 2008, Jalometalli fest
Candlemass/Destruction 2005, Helsinki - Candlemass ruled this night
Celtic Frost 2007, Helsinki

These come into my mind first.

I've been seeing live bands since 1990 and have seen a few now which makes it harder to remember the most exceptional. A few that stand out though

Butthole Surfers - 1991
Einsturzende Neubauten - 1991
Nunbait - 1991-93
Damaged - 1993
Acheron - 1992
Corpse Molestation - 1993
Sadistik Exekution - 1995
Judas Priest - 2001
Iron Maiden - 2008
Slayer - 1995, 1998 & 2001
Dresden Dolls - 2006, 2007
Dillinger Escape Plan - 2004 & 2005
Nunslaughter - 2003
Gospel Of The Horns - 1997
Destroyer 666 - 1996-1999
Destruktor - 2004
Morrigan - 2004
Guitar Wolf - I guess it was '98

I guess there are loads others, but that's what springs immediately to mind.

I never was a big gig fan so I haven't been to a lot of gigs the last 20+ years I'm into music but here are the tops (and not for the music only). The weird thing is that The Residents, Ozric Tentacles, Faust and Chris Corsano I'm not listen them anymore but still they are in the list...

Iron Maiden - 1988
Sodom - 1989
Running Wild - 1989
King Diamond - 1990
The Residents - 2002
Blixa Bargeld - 2003
Ozric Tentacles - 2003
Faust / Chris Corsano - 2006
Diamanda Galas - 2008

Recently it would be difficult to top the Nuclear Gathering Of The Legions Of Doom in Berlin. With this line up it was a once in a lifetime...

Necros Christos
Sadomator
Grave Miasma
Proclamation
Blasphemophager
Bestial Raids

I challenge a promoter to come up with a better bill than that. It was an amazing night.

Sodom/Assassin 2006 (they play on rip-off festival for free, and give great, full of aggression show)
Slayer 2007 (you'll never seen as big mosh-pit as in Poland on Slayer gigs)
Incantation 2007 (only 25min show)
Mortal Sin / Overkill 2008 + Demonical 2008 (last one at small stage at Metalmania fest, in same time on big scene plays... Immolation and 99,9% go to Immolation of course, I saw only end of thier great show)
Triumph of Death 2008 (Asphyx, Drowned, Dead Congregation...)
Sabbat + Nocturnal, Metal King, Old 2008

also some more underground shows like Deception (half of show without bass guitar, only one guitar and drums, and fucking crush), Anima Damnata, Bestial Raids, Bloodthirst, also must count my first "bigger" show: Vader
