Here is where you discuss all things punk and hardcore music.

Some records I still listen to from this genre:

1. Rorschach all
2. Born Against all up to the first album
3. Discharge all motorpunk era
4. Amebix side A of Power Remains
5. Citizens Arrest all with Daryl on vocals
6. GISM up to M.A.N.
7. Minor Threat all
8. Bad Brains up to Quickness
9. Youth of Today first 7"
10. INFEST slave

1. Crude SS for their unbelievable Hellhammer-influenced 7" from 1985. Sounds like a cross between Satanic Rites and Apocalyptic Raids with the Satanic Rites sound.

2. Sheer Terror's debut and only Sheer Terror's debut. What a Celtic Frost guitar sound. And a rhino on adrenaline as vocalist.

3. All these English Crusties like Deviated Instinct, Amebix, Axegrinder, Prophecy Of Doom, Insurrection, first Bolt Thrower, first Sacrilege, Doom, old and newest E.N.T., ...

4. Swedish Crust. Oh damn it. Oral which play like Grotesque/early At The Gates mixed with Crust (Alf Svensson's first band), Martyrdöd combining Black Metal with Crust, Skitsystem doing nothing but pure golden Crust, even the reformed Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade sound killer again. Or Driller Killer (Fuck The World and Reality Bites sound like Grave's debut on Crust) or grown-up Anti-Cimex like the Motörhead of Crust.

5. The Split LP of Sanctum/Stormcrow gets honorable mention cause these two Crust bands deliver nothing but the best Bolt Thrower - Warmaster tribute since ages.

Citizens Arrest- A Light In The Darkness 7" still blows me away to this day. Bought that beast back in 90 when it came out. Still stands up today. Also, old SSD.

I have a couple crust 7"s, my favorite being Crushed Cop Skulls by the Shitlickers. I also like the few Crucial Unit 7''s I have.

Hardcore/punk is my thing more than metal these days. Some really good stuff mentioned this far. I like a lot of different stuff -- from '77 punk to early 80s international hardcore to crossover to metallic crust to traditional Japanese HC, etc. I have a soft spot for raw Swedish style d-beat stuff -- my fave band is early DISCHARGE as you may have guessed from my avatar.

The only Sheer Terror to check out is the 1st LP ("Just Can't Hate Enough"). It's fucking great, but none of their other stuff comes close.

Funny someone mentioned Oral. Their 1986 demo is ten times better than the reunion CD they recorded in the early 90s.

All kinds of shit.

Cro Mags "Age of quarrel"
Crumbsuckers both LP's
Germs
Conflict "The ungovernable force"
Black Flag mostly everything up to Damaged
TSOL Joe Wood era is fuckin' great too
New Bomb Turks
Poison Idea
Agnostic Front early to mid
Urban Waste
RKL "Keep Laughing" is a fuckin' classic!
Gang Green
Battalion of Saints love this band. Best thing ever out of San Diego. Oh and early RATT! but I think they moved to LA early on. Check out some of their tracks here:

Killer Discharge/Motorhead stuff

Shit load of other stuff I'll think of later. I dig alot of early stuff too like NY Dolls/Johnny Thunders, Stooges, Dead Boys, The Saints, the fuckin' STONES!
