I just got the 'Scales of Leviathan' MCD and White shirt; fucking killer. I need to get all their shit now.

And I am going to have to through my band in the mix for that 'old death metal' feeling.

Yosuke - I have never really listened to Coffins, so I am completely unbiased, but I see people just going apeshit over them. What do you not like?

Armagedda is black metal. Great band by the way, and my very first demo was from this band. Great memories....

CURSE OF AEONS!!!

Nevertheless, all of their other releases are excellent either.

If someone wants to sell/trade their first, self titled LP and/or their first 7", contact me and we'll see if we can get something together!!

...and if someone has never ever listened to "Curse of Aeons", which definitely is my most favoured Kaamos release, I can provide dubs of the original tape and/or an upload.

Anyway, I'll make my way to Berlin to see them live!
Unfortunately, I've only got that gig with Antaeus etc. digitally.

I have been listening non stop to Kaamos' debut the last few days, and I am genuinely stunned by how fucking rabid and evil it sounds. Incredible riffs and vocals, and I REALLY like the drum sound. Chris Piss truly tore this record to shreds on the kit.
I also like "Lucifer Rising" but not nearly as much, and Scales of Leviathan is pretty good as well but nothing approaches this s/t classic!

This band is not mentioned often enough I say!

I agree. Their debut is just rabid. It sounds like it's verging on chaos in parts.

Good, solid band, but I don't get the current fuzz about them. If you put everything in perspective and like death metal as much as people claim to do nowadays there are other bands who put out more and better stuff in a shorter period even if it isn't on yer fave format. Just listen to Vomitory f.i. but I guess every trend has a few bands that get embraced by the vast majority, just like Darkthrone and Sabbat once were/are.

Great band also. The whole hype (?) with Kaamos is because they did
what they did in a short period.Vomitory is an older band that still continues
to release albums.
I have to listen carefully to their debut album. Can't remember it at all.

Well there were 3 years between 2 kaamos albums, Vomitory relaesed 5 albums in like 8 years.

I know that.I think that Vomitory chose a more lonely path.
Kaamos had also a lot of feedback from zines and labels.

At least in my case, the answer is really simple. Kaamos is a newer band to me and so I am currently more excited about them than some of my old favorites, which I have a totally different connection with.

And if somehow complimenting Kaamos has become a trendy thing to do, then it is one of the least idiotic trends I have seen lately, haha!

Very Happy
