Proscriptor's real name is Russ. I guess it's short for Russell.

For such a "name" band, i don;t think the label will give away the rights so losely and cheaply Sad

Either way, i hope you can release the pic Disc, Dennis. Am sure it will sell out coz it's Absu!

well, the deal is okay. I mean the actual costs of picture discs and douple pictures + jackets would be too expensieve for us...

Yes, i see your point. Possible to do a co-release with another label - NWN perhaps?

Looks like a pre-order. Down at the bottom reads "*New Release* - available 16/2/2009" in yellow text.

The new ABSU album has been leaked & I can say it's really awesome!
Totally worthy of purchase, especially on vinyl. I'd say it's kind of a mix between "Third Storm..." & "Tara" -
still Thrashing, but a touch more melodic with tastefully done keyboard parts. Some parts have a modern ENSLAVED influence.
There are no filler songs except for the last which is just an outro. Needless to say, the drumming is amazing, with some of the tightest blasts I've ever heard!
It's bizarre how much the new guitar players sound exactly like shaftiel - there's almost no change in style between this & "Tara".
By the way, the song on their MYSPACE is one of the weakest & most typical on the album, the rest are much better,
especially one called "Magick Square Cipher" which I was really impressed by. Long story short: Totally on my top 10 of the year & a must buy!

When I heard the track "Girra's Temple" on the myspace site and the sample from "Sceptre Command" on the Plastichead site I thought "oh shit, this does not sound good I think it's over."

But my friend got the leak today and had me listen to it and fuck it's very good!! Definitely different from the Absu on "Tara" and "Third Storm of Cythraul" but I'll say that Proscriptor has managed to re-invent this band and take it in a good direction. It still has the signature thrashy element but somehow they've managed to mix in (as they did say) some excellent 70s prog stylings in there.

This is one of those moments where I'm very glad that I got proven wrong!!

Just listened to the leaked version this morning, great album! I don't think it's quite as good as Tara, but certainly better than their other black/thrash releases. I'll definetly be buying the LP version of this! Are Back On Black really that bad?

listened to this twice so far, my itchy finger has been lingering over the buy button for the vinyl but I usually try to avoid back on black..... is KBTMT doing the pic disc still? If so, when will that be available?

I'll have to dwell on it a bit, I'm skint at the moment and don't want to spend what little money I've got on a badly pressed LP. If Master's Throne are doing a pic disc, I'll buy that instead of the BOB LP. If anyone gets the BOB one, let me know if it's any good!
