March 6 and March 7, 2009 will bear witness to return of the authentic, pioneering madman Bobby Liebling and PENTAGRAM. This legendary U.S. deity of dark rock and doom will cast its shadow for two nights only, in New York City and Baltimore.

For the first time in 25 yrs, the "Godfather of U.S. doom," Brooklyn-born Bobby Liebling returns to New York City! He and PENTAGRAM bring their relentless, revolutionary, buzz saw rock to Webster's Hall on Friday, March 6, 2009. The show will also be filmed for the 9.14 Pictures ("Rock School", "Two Days In April") documentary, "Last Rites: The Fall & Rise of Bobby Liebling".

The burning rays will again ignite the very next night, March 7, 2009, as a kindling fire is again prepared for the sign of the wolf! Sonar in Baltimore, Maryland is the sight of this second and final sonic séance. Reside alongside the human hurricane when he and the 'RAM family bleed their inescapable and highly influential lava riffs into the hearts of the heavy.

On stage with Liebling will be ex-'RAM family member, Gary Isom (SPIRIT CARAVAN) on drums, who joins Liebling live again for the first time in nearly 15 years. These shows will introduce the shredding talents of D.C.'s Russ Strahan on guitar and the heavier-than-Hades rumble of Mark Ammen (UNORTHODOX) on bass. Very special guests include Dutch doom rockers THE DEVIL'S BLOOD, Philadelphia's heavily melodic instrumentalists SERPENT THRONE (Baltimore only) and more to be announced.

I really, REALLY hope he can keep it together enough to do these shows.

HAIL MY DOOM BROTHERS & SISTERS!
this sounds great, but c'mon, Joe Hasselvander isnt playing with Bobby anymore, and Bobby's voice and pure physical state are long gone.
I really wished I woulda witnessed the "Be Forewarned" era gigs!
or even Deathrow gigs in the early 80's!
I have tons of rare old authentic gig flyers I got from Joe H., I need to make a small book!
I dont know, it would still be cool see the 3rd, or is it 4th re-incarnation of the mighty Pentagram!? we'll see.

Those Deathrow gigs rule.

I don't care. The fact is Bobby is one of the best and most entertaining vocalists ever, regardless of who is backing him.

"Human Hurricane" CD ( a rare collection of 1970's recordings)!!!! fukin HEAVY MAN!

came out back in 1998.

Im down to my last personal copy. play it all the time!
and the my vinyls of course.

this is the era when the mighty Pentagram were considered in the "Heavy Rock/Psych." genre.

maybe some of ya are "Much too Young to Know", eitherway,

I have to disagree! Saw Bobby do PENTAGRAM songs w/ Hasselvander's band back in February and it was fucking insane. I'm going to have to find a way to get to either of these gigs.

Yes, that's what I was thinking as well, talking about:"Will he even make it this time around?". Other than that PENTAGRAM, be it the initial 70s incarnation or the DEATH ROW line-up deserve ALL the credit they get, period!! Exclamation
