Now you're speaking my language. I'm working on a big purge of noise stuff and I think HotD will be the only artist younger than I am who is going to survive the sale. Top notch work.

Look for the "Societal" LP if it's still around. (Or really anything you can get your hands on basically...)

I quite like Stalaggh's - Projekt Terrror which is Black/Noise I suppose... I used to do a Noise Project, it's good to make, great stress relief.

hum of the druid is excellent! one of the first noise band i listened to and still one of the best. Wall of Arms is my fave by him, it's somewhere in between dark ambient and noise.

any love for THE SKATERS, not harsh or brutal, in fact often beautiful... my fave band in any genre

Anyone here who really knows what they're talking about, can you write a list of the Top 10 - 20 Noise classics as well as as Top 10 -20 of contemporary great bands. I have no idea where to start in this genre whatsoever.

I am aware of more obvious bands like MZ. 412, Boyd Rice/NON, Merzbow, Throbbing Gristle, Nordvargr (but if an album is worth mention that would be cool)

there arn't really any classics in noise, every release is as ephemeral as the next.

my buddy matts noise label. he's trying to get rid of all of his releases from what i understand so go there and check it out. he's released tons of obscure shit, many of which people have already mentioned in this thread.
