The first Countess would be good too.

I know, EVERY Countess album needs a vinyl release. No one has to tell me that Cool

I'm not a big fan of the whole discography. I think the debut stands out.

Let me send you my Impiety LP btw

The peace can wait, but Barathrum on vinyl is long overdue, like was already mentioned on this thread. Congratulations for managing to convince Opyros that this is a worthy release. Barathrum is meant to be listened from vinyl.

Compared to Countess, this was really, really, really easy. Just two mails within two, three days. We have a "hand-shake" like contract right now, but it should turn to a real one without any problems soon.

Everytime I asked from him why not releasing Barathrum on vinyl, he said that it would not probably sell enough. You have more faith & devotion!
To contaminate this thread a bit:

Quote:
"*** BARATHRUM - LONG LIVE SATAN on Ghul Productions ***

You could allready read it on my blog at
http://blog.cultesdesgoules.org. BARATHRUM agreed to release a
legendary live performance recorded in Lauttakylan Lukio, Huittinen,
Finland on the 13.12.1996. More than 12 years after this concert you
can get the record in a strictly limited version. I will make just 100
copies, and some of them are allready reserved. Its beeing released on
the first of march 2009.

Here is the tracklist:
BARATHRUM - LONG LIVE SATAN
01) Deep from the depths
02) Moon calls
03) The night of the demon lord
04) Black Goat
05) Blasphemer
06) Warmetal
07) Battlecry
0Cool Death is saviour
09) Bleeding sky
10) Lord of south and fire
11) Victory feast

The cover artwork can be seen here:
http://blog.cultesdesgoules.org or at http://www.ghul.org"

Ridiculous limitation once again though...

Barathrum kicks ass live. Good proper live release is one of things I need. No idea yet whether this is the one.

Evil or Very Mad I really wanted to see them live (besides on my video). The live videos at their HP are really killer, cool crowd. Are they that "hip" in Suomi?

I've seen them live maybe 5-6 times, but it's something like 8-9 years since the last time I saw them live. Sova is a good frontman live and even the later & lamer albums sounds more deadly in a live situation. Entertaining, catchy & brutal are the words.
They became more known in here when Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus (who were one of the biggest bands in Finland in late 90s/ early this decade) covered Last Day In Heaven with lyrics modified and translated to Finnish:

COUNTESS next Dennis!

Upcoming COUNTESS album will be released by us on vinyl at the same time as the CD will be unleashed. Thumbs up for releases of their older stuff afterwards...

the Barathrum news sounds great but this Countess info is much better news.
